Grape tomatoes, a growing category in the vegetable section due to its appearance and the nutritional value, is labor intensive from growing, to harvesting and grading. As a result, they are mostly grown in the less developed countries. Under normal packing conditions (clam shells), grape tomatoes will last from 7 to 15 days depending on the color that the tomatoes were harvested.  However, the product will start to lose the brightness and moisture.  When packaged in iFood boxes, the tomatoes can be packed at color number 4 or 5 and they will continue to ripen slowly in the box.  iFood box allows the grape tomatoes to be stored at 5 °C without any sign of chilling injury.  Products can achieve a shelf life of up to 25 to 35 days.
