Lychee fruits, under normal shipping conditions, will become dehydrated within 10 days.  With dehydration, the skin color will turn brown, which is not considered as fresh.  When lychee is packaged under the iFood protocols, the product can be stored up to 25 days at 0-1 °C.  The moisture and the skin color is retained.  Due to minimal weight loss, the fruit texture is firmer and juicier.
